곡 해설

Wintre

겨울의 바람과 정취를 담은 곡이다. 특히 이 곡에선 박우재가 '양금'을 연주한다.

Harm

활로 연주되는 거문고의 특별한 음색을 담은 곡으로, 

일반적으로는 연주되지 않는 잡음에 영감을 받아 만들어졌다.

Seven

원곡은 'Seven Blind Men'으로, 현대미술가 김홍식의 작품에 삽입되었던 신범호의 곡이다.

서양음악 형식(테크노)에 거문고 연주를 더한 무토의 표현 양식이 반영되었다.

Sonnet

박우재의 솔로앨범 <거문고 더하기>에 수록되어 있는 'Sonnet 18'이 원곡이며,

셰익스피어의 <소네트 18번>의 구음을 전통적인 방식의 거문고 연주로 표현한 곡이다.

Gon

무토의 첫번째 곡이자, 이 프로젝트의 첫번째 이상을 담은 곡이다.

"광활한 대지, 불투명한 바람을 넘어 차가운 설산. 그리고 난 물 위에 서있다."

Wintre

“Wintre” embodies winter chills and wintry atmosphere.

Park Woojae plays Yanggeum (Korean Hammered Dulcimer).

Harm

Illustrating the distinct timbre of Geomungo with the use of a bow, this song draws inspiration from

unconventional noises.

Seven

Produced by Sin Bumho, the original version “Seven Blind Men” was employed to the work of 

Contemporary painter Kim Hongshik. “Seven” incorporates Western structure (Techno) into MUTO’s rendition of Geomungo.

Sonnet

Originally published as “Sonnet 18” on Park Woojae’s solo album “Geomungo Extension”,

“Sonnet” is a traditional Geomungo rendition of oral reverberation in Shakespeare’s “Sonnet 18”.

Gon

 “Gon” is the first song that MUTO quartet has made and it epitomizes the concept of MUTO:

“Vast plains, opaque clouds over icy mountains, and I am standing on the water.”
